Introverted horses don’t look afraid, because they don’t react extreme (extrovert). They are often misinterpreted and are put under more pressure than they can handle. They are horses who seem calm, but can all of a sudden explode. Especially after reading my Ebook, you’ll see the concept I’m using here and you’ll understand why this approach is better.

If you like the concept of an educational video like this, with myself loading a difficult horse in the trailer, you will love my Online Video Course Trailer Loading with Eddy Modde. There’s many video’s like this where I point out a lot more details. You’ll be able to teach your own horse to load like this.

Feel free to send my your comments and questions.

Thanks Eddy your videos and tips are a big help. Mare is walking into trailer calmly and will stand and eat hay. Does not like the butt bar. Will practice as you have suggested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyTiFEE7-jQ Here she is going in. Big improvement would not even go near the ramp in the spring. She had to go to the vet hospital last year and was loaded under pressure with lunge lines and chiffney bit. Would not even walk to the ramp after this. I have worked gently with her for some months allowing her to load herself and come off when she wants to. Gradually she has become more confident. It is a very slow process but we are getting there. Thank you again for sharing your methods. Jane :-)

Hi, My Trailer is a 2 horse ~knee high(approx. 2′off the ground), and has a vertical bar separating 2 doors, instead of a pull up ramp type have you any suggestions? My horse has been in it 1 time, but has refused to get in it a 2nd time. And he’s an extrovert.

    Hi Elaine,
First of all, use all the principles I talk about in my e-book and video course. Your horse will need to learn to back out and step down. Two feet is pretty high to begin with. Put something big and solid down to teach so he can learn to be comfortable backing out and stepping down. Usually these trailers (should) have a little slide out ramp, but I guess yours doesn’t.
